What we collect, and why.
A short, readable summary of how Red Post Picks handles personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who's the controller?
Red Post Picks is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach our team via the contact page or directly at privacy@redpostpicks.com.
What we collect
- Analytics signals. Aggregated page views, referrer, broad geography, device type and rough timing. We use these to understand which reviews are useful.
- Cookies and similar storage. Strictly necessary items to make the site work, plus measurement items where you accept them. See the cookie policy.
- What you send us. If you email us or fill in the contact form, we receive your name, email and the content of the message.
What we don't collect
- We don't take deposits, so we never see card or bank details.
- We don't hold gambling accounts, so we never see balances, wagers, or transaction history.
- We don't buy lists of email addresses and we don't send unsolicited marketing.
Why we process it
Legitimate interests for running and improving an editorial website, consent where we ask for it (e.g. measurement cookies), and to respond to messages you send us. We don't use personal data for automated decisions.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept in aggregated form. Inbox messages are kept while they are useful to resolve your enquiry and removed when no longer needed.
Sharing
We use a small number of standard service providers (hosting, analytics, email) under written agreements. We don't sell personal data. Outbound affiliate links pass tracking information to the operator you visit, but only after you click — and that operator becomes the data controller for whatever you then do on their site, under their own privacy notice.
Your rights
- Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Ask us to delete it where the law allows.
- Object to processing, or restrict it.
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Updates
We update this policy when we materially change how we handle data. The date below changes when we do.
